Example 2: Gaussian Quarter Symmetry
Learning Objective: Again using provided tools and code, compute the result of a quarter symmetry finite element simulation with a gaussian push source.
Moving Files To and From the DCC
In this video I'll go over a couple of ways to move files to and from the DCC
Gauss Qsym PML Example
Estimated Time: 45 minutes to start simulation- Multiple hours to run
Instructions
Watch the following video. This video contains instructions on starting the gaussian excitation, quarter symmetry, perfect matching layer example, as well as brief overview commentary on what different parts of the run.py script and the dynadecks do.
At the end of this module you should have a successful run of the gauss_qsym_pml example file. To ensure your results match the expected outputs, I suggest comparing your final res_sim.mat with the example file res_sim_valid.mat as found in the example folder: https://github.com/mlp6/fem/tree/main/examples/gauss_qsym_pml
